Middle East, the Taklamakan Desert in northwest China, southwest Asia, central/
western Australia, the Etosha and Mkgadikgadi basins of southern Africa, the Salar
de Uyuni (Bolivia) and the southwestern United States (NRL

). These dust-producing regions have minimal moisture
