a The range of changes in annual mean temperature, precipitation and potential
evaporation is formed from the 90th and 10th percentiles. The three scenarios
combine the 50th percentiles changes of temperature and rainfall ('mid case'),
the 90th temperature and 10th rainfall percentiles ('hottest, driest') and the 10th
temperature and 90th rainfall percentiles ('least hot, wettest'). Climate data are from
gridded BoM data for 1976-2005, the list of localities from Geosciences Australia
and (partial) analogues for the three scenarios are based on current climate matches
to the projected annual maximum temperature ( 1.0°C) and annual precipitation
( 15 per cent).
