Solar Ovens
Solar ovens offer simple fuel-free solutions for cooking, and for sterilizing/pasteurizing water,
using just the rays of the sun. You can use a solar oven to cook anything that can be cooked in a
crock pot, including stews and casseroles. You can even bake bread and muffins in a solar
oven. Their main drawbacks are that they are not much good for browning foods, don't work
on cloudy days, and take more time and patience to cook a meal, so they require planning
