6. Chin. An upward blow to the chin, either straight up with a vigorous palm thrust ( fig. 10-10 ) or
head butt, or somewhat from the side with an elbow swing or hammer fist, will usually deliver a
knockout blow. In the least, it should “ring your opponent's bell” and “rattle his cage” enough to
cause a drop of his guard that will create an opening with the opportunity to attack other sensitive
areas, such as the eyes, throat, or groin.
