et al. (2007) reported that the Probable Maximum Storm Surge (PMSS) above
high tide level in Nagapattinam coastal belt is 4.2 m; Murthy et al. (2006)
reported run up along the Tamil Nadu coast to range from 2.6 to 5.6 m during
December 2004 tsunami; Unnikrisnan et al. (2006) reports an average annual
sea level increase of 1 mm along the Indian coast. Considering these facts,
inundation maps were prepared using the Spatial Analyst.
