The different values present in the Figure 7.11 shown above have all been
subjected to the process of simple kriging. There is no nugget effect because the
exact values of the rainfall levels for December 1994 are known, whereas the
median values are only estimations. These different values are all anisotropic and
have two values when the water flowing on the surface is recorded at an angle of 5°
rather than at 95°. These different values are also represented on the correlogram.
Given the information on the reduced Gaussian variables (U variables), it then
becomes possible to create the precipitation map for the month of December 1994 as
