4. Conclusions
A method (SOMCD) that can combine the cluster analysis and discrim-
ination analysis is proposed in this paper. A case study is performed
using SOMCD to identify the homogeneities of the single-station design
hyetographs in northern Taiwan. The assignments of validating gages to
