This area is having valley, hills, and plain lands. Elevation varies from
70 to 160 m (amsl.). Climate of this area is tropical semi-arid. Average
surface temperature is 28 C. Annual rainfall is 900-1,300 mm. 5 About 80%
rain occurs during monsoon season, which is usually active from July to
October.
Godavari river flows along the eastern boundary of this area, in ES-
direction and at a distance of 180 km. Groundwater in these formations
generally occurs under phreatic condition particularly in shallow weathered
zones. Some times, it occurs under semi-confined and confined conditions
