The applicability of EC logs technique has been tested, in particular in
hard rock areas of India, first time. The method and their results have been
validated against the results obtained by other geophysical and geohydro-
logical techniques in these areas and in particular in above-mentioned bore
wells. The geophysical techniques such as self-potential logging, point resis-
