pumping rate decreases quickly in low recharge regions. Meanwhile, it has
linear relationship with the hydraulic conductivity in high recharge rate
regions.
The relationship between the optimal pumping rate and the hydraulic
conductivity is investigated via enumeration for the specified recharge rate
(Fig. 3(a)). As is seen from this figure, the optimal pumping rate is higher
in low conductive aquifers than in highly conductive aquifers. However, the
