Simulated water levels compared with observed ones.
discharge, and consequently, simulated water levels are lower than observed
data. Therefore, in next simulations we have to try larger Manning rough-
ness coe cients which will retard the flood flows and raise simulation flood
water levels. For other reasons for this discrepancy, we are assuming some
wrong estimates of mesh size, usage of water level instead of discharge at
inflow boundary, discharges of 12 tributaries around Tonle Sap Lake and
lumping parameters for FEM calculations.
Results of the model can be used to produce hydrologic data in basin
areas without gauging as well as to evaluate the effects of the basin man-
agement on floods and agricultural water uses.
