represented as describing color using three-space. In that scheme, the gray
scale comes out as a 45 degree diagonal. Computer scientists offer a color
code containing six alphanumeric characters, appearing in pairs of hexadeci-
mal code that also serve as a three-space. Generally schemes such as this one,
offer only visual slices through this three-dimensional (3D) color space along
axes or in other “expected” ways. However, different vantage points offer
different perspectives. Pantone color formula guide books offer one physical
set of straws by which to probe 3D color space. The theorem above offers a
comprehensive mathematical set.
4.5 Algebraic aspects of ratios
When one inserts an image into an electronic document, a set of handles
appears on the image permitting the reader to stretch the image. If a single
