Pleistocene to Holocene climatic transition. The alluvial fan systems of Lahontan, sourced from
the Stillwater Range underwent minimal slope erosion and fan sedimentation during that time
frame. In contrast the fan systems of the Mojave, sourced from the Transverse Ranges of the
San Bernadino Mountains, were far more active over that same period, first dominated by debris
