some places showing low mounds inherited from the buried moraine topography,
and extends over the depth range of 35-80 m.
The Baltic bottom topography features the first- and second-order morphostruc-
tural elements, i.e. geological structures formed by endogenous processes. The
first-order morphostructure covers the entire central and southern part of the Baltic
and is represented by the NW margin of the Russian plate (the Baltic syneclise).
