breaking of nanoparticle aggregates during the transport which release to solution
small nanoparticles that are more mobile than the aggregates. Another explanation
is that the larger nanoparticle aggregates move much more slowly through the
column, so that elution patterns are affected by different mobilities associated with
a range of aggregate sizes.
