The real climate disaster occurs in the event (admissible, see section 8.3)
where climate sensitivity is zero or insignificant. If identification is forced
by S clim = 0, we can then obtain the simulation in graph (b), where the
temperatures fall to the level of the little ice age (1600-1800), or even below
it.
Let us therefore hope that solar activity does not remain at the level of the
Maunder minimum for centuries. Or otherwise, that climate sensitivity is
sufficient so that the gigatons of CO 2 released into the atmosphere save us
from another LIA and the catastrophes it would bring with it.
