*We recommend entering the park from its South & West Africa Gates and following the
path along the lake all the way to the Blue Bridge. Cross the lake here (unless you need to
visit the cafe for lunch) and make a left to continue in the same direction until you reach
Horse Guards Road. This should lead you out to Churchill War Rooms which you can learn
more about below. Stop wherever you'd like for your picnic lunch.*
Churchill War Rooms
Price: £17.00
Address: Clive Steps, King Charles St
Hours: Daily, 9:30am-6pm
Website: www.iwm.org.uk/visits/churchill-war-rooms
If you followed our directions, you should come out facing Churchill War Rooms.
This is where Winston Churchill and his Cabinet were sheltered during World War II when
London was heavily bombed. The rooms have been left as they were the day the war ended
and there is a museum dedicated to Churchill. It's one of the city's most interesting attrac-
tions, so try and visit if you have time on another day.
