where you exited, just keep walking forward, away from Big Ben.*
Whitehall, the road you will start today on, is filled with history and commemoration. Run-
ning from Trafalgar Square to Chelsea, Whitehall is home to several important government
buildings, from the residence of the Prime Minister to Her Majesty's Treasury and more.
Further, there are several memorials here dedicated to moments and people that impacted
Britain's history, including the Centograph, which commemorates those who died in ser-
vice during World Wars I and II, and the National Monument to the Women of World War
II.
