The blue plaque on this house might put some people off.
Sherlock Holmes was a real person?
No.
But, 221B Baker Street is the address author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle housed the country's
most famous detective from 1881-1904.
The museum is decorated to match the Victorian times in which Holmes was created. You'll
feel like Watson walking up to the door of this residence, not sure what to expect from the
imaginative detective. Take a few photos from the front and pop into the museum gift shop
if you want some memorabilia for home. If you want to go inside, there is an entrance fee
of £8 for adults.
