Tate Modern
Price: Free
Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 10am-6pm; Friday-Saturday, 10am-10pm
Address: Bankside
Website: www.tate.org.uk/visit/tate-modern
Located in the former Bankside Power Station you can't miss the Tate Modern when walk-
ing along the River Thames. This is Tate's modern and contemporary art museum, which
includes works by Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali and more. It's constantly
adding new exhibits and works of art. Plus the museum is free to enter, minus a few visiting
exhibitions here and there.
Millennium Bridge
When walking to the Tate Modern from our last stop, you'll notice a funky metal walking
bridge across the River Thames. This is the Millennium Bridge. It took about two years to
build and originally opened in 2000 to celebrate the new millennium. Only problem was
the bridge wobbled and moved with wind as well as people walking across it. The bridge
was closed soon after it opened, but re-opened in 2002 with no more wobbly moments, so
it's safe to have a walk across, but if you do, you'll have to come back to this side of the
river.
