To better your understanding of the city, this itinerary starts at a museum dedicated to it.
At the Museum of London , you can learn everything about the city from Roman and Me-
dieval times to today and you will use this knowledge throughout the rest of today. Watch
a film about the Great Fire of London and try on clothes and hats from different points in
London's history.
*Exit the main entrance of the Museum of London located on the second level (first level
by British standards). Make a left and keep going until you see a bridge. Before crossing
the bridge you'll see stairs to your left. Go down all the way (two flights) until you reach
the bottom. When you come out you'll see the London Wall and be able to walk up to it. *

You can see a piece of the London Wall from inside the Museum of London, but for those
who want a closer look, it's only a short detour. Built by the Romans, when the city was
known as Londinium, the London Wall was a defined strategy built for the city in 200 AD.
