*Facing the main entrance of Westminster Abbey, make a left and follow this path to exit
the church's gates. Once you do, make a right and continue walking with Houses of Parlia-
ment to your left. After a white building, you'll see a set of stairs going down and a stone
building, this is the Jewel Tower.*
Almost 650 years old, this Medieval structure is one of two buildings from the Palace of
Westminster to survive the fire of 1834. Known as the 'King's Privy Wardrobe', it was built
to house King Edward III's jewels. You can also purchase tickets to tour Houses of Parlia-
