Along with the load tests and user connections to the database, it's also a good practice to check the interconnect
traffic for any errors. Early identification of problems will help in getting through subsequent phases of the tests
sooner.
Testing Application for Availability
As pointed out several times throughout this topic, the primary reasons why organizations prefer to implement their
database on a RAC platform is to support the business requirements of availability and scalability. Both these features
cannot be achieved just out of the box; complete availability requires incorporating some RAC-specific features
into the application code, and scalability requires efficiently written interface between the application tier and the
database tier.
