there are several standard workload-testing tools available as freeware or on a commercial basis. for example
• Hammerora is a load generation tool and provides standard transaction processing performance
Council benchmark C (tpC-C) and benchmark h (tpC-h) workloads.
• Swingbench is another free load testing tool available and written specifically for simulating
workloads in a raC environment.
• Benchmark Factory is commercial software and also used for a similar workload generation.
Please note that the idea here is not what type of transaction is being generated. The goal is to generate some
workload on the cluster, preferably the type of workload that the cluster will support (OLTP, data warehouse, and so forth).
