Step 6
Since no backups are available, the OLR file could be recovered by recreating the file. The first step is to perform a
clean-up operation to remove any references to the clusterware files on the node. Then the
root.sh
script that was
executed during GI installation could be rerun.
1.
Execute the
rootcrs.pl
script located in the
$GRID_HOME/crs/install/
directory to clear
the current definitons.
[root@ssky1l4p2 oracle]# $GRID_HOME/crs/install/rootcrs.pl -deconfig -force
Using configuration parameter file: /u01/app/12.1.0.1/grid/crs/install/crsconfig_params

2.
Step 6, sequence 1 cleared all existing pointer information, to the
olr.loc
file as well as
the
ocr.loc
file and remove entries from the system startup files.
[root@ssky1l4p2 oracle]# cat /etc/oracle/ocr.loc
cat: /etc/oracle/ocr.loc: No such file or directory
[root@ssky1l4p2 oracle]#
[root@ssky1l4p2 oracle]# cat /etc/oracle/ocr.loc
cat: /etc/oracle/ocr.loc: No such file or directory
[root@ssky1l4p2 oracle]#
3.
Now run the
root.sh
file from the $
GRID_HOME/
directory.
[root@ssky1l4p2 oracle]# $GRID_HOME/root.sh
This will reconfigure the pointers, recreate the OLR file, and automatically start the clusterware stack.

Now product-specific root actions will be performed.
