Depletion of oil resources can be considered
both as a natural and technological risk. This is a
serious risk that deserves all the attention and

will be no oil but to fi nd solutions for a more
serene economy free from this threat.
Solar energy is the most promising source of
clean, renewable energy, and it has the greatest
potential of any power source to solve the world's
energy problems (Kadir and Rafeeu 2010 ). The
energy from sunlight is huge, 0.01 % utilisation
would cover the entire world. This offers a unique
opportunity of technological advancing in the
solar energy fi eld. Indeed, improved access to
clean and green modern energy is a fundamental
step to poverty reduction; with advanced and
technical knowledge and resources, industri-
alised and developed nations can facilitate the
