CHILEAN PATAGONIA
Rugged seascapes rimmed with glacial peaks, the stunning massifs of Torres del Paine
and howling steppe characterize the other side of the Andes. Once you come this far, it is
well worth crossing the border. Chilean Patagonia consists of the isolated Aisén and
Magallanes regions, separated by the southern continental ice field. This area covers
Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales and Parque Nacional Torres del Paine. For in-depth cover-
age of Chile, pick up Lonely Planet's Chile & Easter Island .
