On July 28 the landing of the first Welsh is celebrated by taking tea in one of the many
chapels.

CULTURAL FESTIVAL
A Welsh literary and musical festival, held in late October. The tradition started in 1875.
Aniversario de la Ciudad
FESTIVAL
October 20; commemorates the city's founding in 1886.
Sleeping
Trelew's accommodations are largely dated and geared toward the business traveler; in
addition, spots fill up fast. Travelers can find more variety in nearby Puerto Madryn or
Gaiman.
