Getting There & Away
AIR
Neuquén's airport ( 0299-444-0525) is west of town on RN22. Aerolíneas Argentina/-
Austral ( 0299-442-2411, 0299-442-2410, 0299-442-2409; Santa Fe 52) flies to Buenos
Aires four times daily Monday to Friday and twice daily on weekends.
BUS
Neuquén is a major hub for domestic and international bus services. Accordingly, its bus
terminal ( 0299-445-2300; cnr Solalique y Ruta 22) , about 3.5km west of Parque Central,
is well decked out, with restaurants, gift stores and even a luggage carousel! To get
downtown take either a Pehueche bus (AR$4.10; buy a ticket at local 41) or a taxi
(AR$35).
Several carriers offer services to Chile: Albus goes to Temuco (AR$306, 9 hours) via
Zapala and Paso Pino Hachado.
Neuquén is a jumping-off point for deep-south Patagonian destinations. Northern des-
tinations such as Catamarca, San Juan, Tucumán, Salta and Jujuy may require a bus
change in Mendoza, though the entire ticket can be purchased in Neuquén.
