Turismo Hotel
HOTEL $$$
( 02972-427592;
www.interpatagonia.com/hotelturismo
; Mascardi 517; s/d AR$350/450; )
A classic '70s ski lodge, right down to the stuffed deer's head and old-school pool table
in the lobby. Rooms are comfortable enough, but best avoided if you have problems with
glaring yellow paint jobs.
Eating
Corazón Contento
CAFE $
(San Martín 467; mains around AR$60; 9am-11pm; )
A cute little bakery-cafe serving up
an excellent range of fresh and healthy snacks and meals. The salads are great and the
freshly baked scones and muffins hit the spot.
Pizza Cala
PIZZERIA $
(Av San Martín 1111; mains AR$45-90; 12pm-1am; )
The local's choice for pizza is this
ever-expanding place near the plaza. All the classics are here, plus some 'gourmet' op-
tions such as smoked trout, spinach and eggplant.
Doña Quela
ARGENTINE $$$
(San MartÍn 1017; mains AR$80-120; 12pm-1am; )
Carefully prepared, well-presented
dishes served up in an antique-packed dining room. Patagonian dishes such as deer with
wild mushroom sauce are the stars, but it's all good, and comes accompanied by an im-
pressive wine list.
Bamboo
PARRILLA $$$
(cnr Belgrano & Villegas; mains from AR$100; 12-4pm & 9pm-1am; )
One reader claims
this upmarket
parrilla
serves 'the best meat in all of Argentina.' We haven't tried all the
meat in Argentina (yet), so you be the judge.
