general trail queries. Keeps a desk in the tourist office during hiking season.

It has a good town map and brochures, plus thorough information on accommodations,
food, tours and services. Maps of the surrounding area are crude but helpful. Superb
staff.

Getting There & Away
El Bolsón has no central bus terminal, but most companies are on or near Av San Martín.
Via Bariloche ( 0294-445-5554; cnr Av Belgrano & Beruti) goes to Bariloche (AR$54, two
hours) and Esquel (AR$98, two to three hours), and to points north of there, usually with
a change in Neuquén (AR$380, eight hours).
