) El Bolsón's spiffiest hotel is a slick, business-class number. Standard rooms are
fine, but an extra AR$70 buys you a king size bed, minifridge and sweeping mountain
views.
Eating
El Bolsón's restaurants lack Bariloche's variety, but food is consistently good value and
often outstanding, thanks to fresh local ingredients and careful preparation. Trucha arco
iris (rainbow trout) is the local specialty.
Feria Artesanal MARKET $
( 10am-4pm Tue, Thu & Sat) The market is the best and most economical place to
eat. Goodies here include fresh fruit, Belgian waffles with berries and cream, huge em-
panadas for AR$5, sandwiches, fritatas, milanesa de soja (soy patties), locally brewed
beer and regional desserts.

Jauja ICE CREAM $

town serves up all your faves with some El Bolsón touches (such as homemade bread
and strawberry juice) thrown in. The daily specials are always worth checking out - the
risotto with lamb and wild mushrooms is divine. The attached ice-creamery is legendary
- make sure you leave room for a kilo or two.
