Camping Municipal Malargüe CAMPGROUND $

300m west of Av San Martín, this is the closest place to camp.
El Nevado APARTMENT $$$

lent value apartments available by the day or for longer stays. They come with fully
equipped kitchens, separate sleeping areas and a cute little garden out back.
Hotel de Turismo HOTEL $$$
( 0260-447-1042; Av San Martín 224; s/d AR$300/500) The Turismo's a good standby -
there are plenty of rooms (which are nothing special) so it rarely fills up. Downstairs, the
restaurant-cafe lifts the tone with a few charming touches.
Hotel Bambi HOTEL $$$
( 0260-447-1237; Av San Martín 410; s/d AR$300/450) Friendly hotel with clean but faded
rooms featuring renovated bathrooms. Probably the most comfortable place downtown
for the price.

At the northern edge of town, the most luxurious hotel for miles around lays it all on -
buffet breakfast, art gallery, indoor pool... Rooms are spacious and modern and come
complete with hydromassage tubs which are a welcome sight after a hard day's workout
on the slopes.
Eating
El Quincho de María ARGENTINE $
(Av San Martín 440; mains AR$50-100; 12-11pm) The finest dining in the center is at this
cozy little parrilla where everything from the gnocchi to the empanadas (baked savory
turnovers) is handmade. Be sure not to miss the mouth-watering shish kebabs for AR$60.
Los Olivos ARGENTINE $$$
(San Martín 409; mains AR$80-110; 12-11:30pm) A good range of well-prepared food here
- the menu is split into 'gourmet' (offering regional faves like goat and trout) and 'clas-
sic', with inventive twists on Argentine standards.
