Getting Around
Local buses leave from the old bus terminal ( 02652-492858; cnr Pringles & Los Al-
mendres) in the center of town. There are departures for Piedra Blanca (AR$7, 20
minutes), Bajo de Veliz (AR$25, one hour), Papagayos (AR$25, one hour) and the
nearby artisan village of Cerro de Oro (AR$10, 30 minutes).

Even people from San Luis will tell you that the best the province has to offer lies out-
side of the capital. That said, it's not a bad little town - it has a few historic sights and the
central Plaza Pringles is one of the prettiest in the entire country. The town's main night-
life strip, Av Illia, has a decent concentration of bars, cafes and restaurants, and makes
for a fun night out.
Located on the north bank of the Río Chorrillos, San Luis is 260km from Mendoza via
RN7, and 456km from Córdoba via RN148.

The center of town is the beautiful tree-filled Plaza Pringles, anchored on its eastern side
