and lovely antique floor tiles in the lobby give way to some fairly ordinary modern
rooms in the interior. It's decent value, though - clean, spacious and central.
Hostería Siempreverde HOTEL $$$

lovely old house has good-sized modern rooms out back. There's a big shady garden and
the breakfast/lounge area is comfortable and stylish.
La Casona PARRILLA $
(cnr San Martín & Corrientes; mains AR$60-90; 11:30am-11pm) A frequently recommended
parrilla set in an atmospheric old building and specializing in grilled chivito (goat) and
locally caught trout.
Getting There & Away
There are many daily departures north to La Cumbre (AR$16, 1¼ hours); and south
every 20 minutes to Villa Carlos Paz (AR$14, 40 minutes) and Córdoba (AR$29, 1¼
hours). There are a few departures daily for Buenos Aires (AR$530, 11 hours).
Trains depart for Córdoba's Estación Rodriguez del Busto (AR$6.50, 2½ hours) at
8am and 3:30pm daily with an extra 4:30pm service on weekends.

La Cumbre

A favorite getaway for Córdoba dwellers and foreigners alike, La Cumbre packs a lot of
character into a small space. It's an agreeable little town due to its wide streets and mild
mountain climate, and there are plenty of adventures to be had in the surrounding hills.
The town gained worldwide fame among paragliders when it hosted the 1994 World
Paragliding Cup, and enthusiasts of the sport have made La Cumbre their home, giving
