There are many choices. Prices rise in January when Tafí gets packed. Unheated rooms
can get distinctly chilly any time of year.

Relaxed and welcoming, a 10-minute walk from the bus terminal. Turn right,
follow the road round the bend, and veer right. Rates include breakfast and tasty home-

main drag in the heart of town, this features spacious, comfortable rooms around a small
courtyard. It's not luxury but it's a good deal at this price.

church, offers bright, white and comfortable rooms in a tranquil setting with heating and
private bathroom. There are inconveniences - no sockets, for example - but staff will

In a visu-
ally striking location, surrounded by hills great for hiking and horse-riding, this spot of-
fers only the lowing of cattle to disturb the tranquility. An historic Jesuit ranch and work-
ing farm and cheese factory, it offers superb accommodations in this characterful 18th
century complex. Public areas are wonderful too, and there are few better bases for relax-
ation in this part of Argentina. It's 13km from Tafí in the village of Las Carreras.
