A few blocks south of the center opposite a plaza, this small oasis is a wel-
come find. There's a pool, sauna and Jacuzzi out on the grassy patio and a tastefully dec-
orated lounge area. Rooms are great; all feature king beds. Superior rooms are larger and
come complete with their own hydromassage tub.

Modern
and efficient, this offers good-sized comfortable modern rooms with king beds and large
flatscreens. Windows are double-glazed to help with the noise, and facilities include pil-
low menu, netbooks to lend and a small gym. Staff are generally excellent.

block off the square, this modernized hotel is a decent deal, particularly if you can bag a
better online rate. The renovated rooms are spacious, with flatscreen TV, comfortable
queen beds and town views. The air-con sometimes struggles with the Tucumán heat.
The on-site restaurant is worthwhile.
Eating
Tucumán is famous for its excellent eggy empanadas, which you'll find everywhere.

Delicious! That's the
verdict on the cuts of meat at this popular grill restaurant, but the salad bar and other
menu choices also win points. Value is great here for both quality and quantity, and ser-
vice is friendly and efficient.
