nouveau-rustic charm, this little place is a fantastic spot to unwind for a few days. More
expensive rooms have sitting areas, but all feature adobe walls, cane ceilings, pot-bellied
stoves and individual terraces with deckchairs and views out over the valley. Pretty
grounds include a BBQ area and children's playground; excellent personal service is a
real highlight.

a surprise coming from the street. Warmly run by a friendly young family, this features
stylish common areas and thoughtfully decorated king-bedded rooms arrayed along the

Romantic and welcoming, this posada is tucked away in the higher
part of town; it's a fine spot to retreat to with someone you love. Effective, artistic use of
bare stone and adobe lends much atmosphere; the rooms are darkish but seductive, with
woodstoves. Superiors are especially great, with space to spare and beautiful artisanal
llama-wool carpets. Breakfast features bread baked in the patio's clay oven.

Two kilometers from town
down a dirt road, this attractive complex of cabins climbs a hill with gorgeous Quebrada
views and a remote, relaxing feel. The standard cabins are compact but handsome, and
the pool area is a great little spot. Turn left straight after crossing the bridge into Tilcara
and follow the signs.
