Bien, José! PARRILLA $

with delicious meat empanadas and decent parrilla choices at this good-value restaurant.
Every generation is called José here, so ask one of them what the daily special is and en-
joy.
Giuseppe PIZZA $
(Moreno 680; pizzas from AR$40; lunch & dinner) This place has slightly staid decor but is
extremely popular in the evening for its tasty pizza and interesting pasta combinations.
Try not to sit down the side - the kitchen belts out so much heat you expect brimstone
and horned waiters.
Ama'nalec ICE CREAM $
(Moreno 601; ice creams from AR$15; 8am-11:45pm) This busy corner place does tempting
little pastries and very tasty ice cream, a godsend in Roque's paralyzing heat. It has some
unusual flavors - figs in cognac is worth a lick.
