Güirá Oga ZOO
( www.guiraoga.com.ar ; RN12, Km5; admission AR$75; 9am-6pm, last entry 5pm) Out of
town on the way to Parque Nacional Iguazú, this is an animal hospital and center for re-
habilitation of injured wildlife. It also carries out valuable research into the Iguazú forest
environment and has a breeding program for endangered species. You get walked around
the jungly park by one of the staff, who explains (English available) heaps about the
birds and animals and the sad stories of how they got there. The visit takes about 80
minutes.
Casa Ecológica de Botellas NOTABLE BUILDING

8:30am-6:30pm Jun-Aug) About 200m down a side road off the Iguazú Falls road, this
fascinating place is well worth a visit. The owners have used packaging materials -
plastic bottles, juice cartons and the like - to build not only an impressive house but also
furnishings and a bunch of original handicrafts that make unusual gifts. The guided visit
will talk you through their techniques.
