The
new kid on the Posadas block has rapidly become top dog with its wide array of facilities
and great central location. The bright, large carpeted chambers all have great bathrooms,
balconies and big windows with views over town. Suites add space but little else. The at-
rium pool space, art exhibitions, gym and spa facilities, and appealing lounge area add
points.

This four-star job in the city center has light, spacious, summery rooms with
fridge and pleasing bathrooms. The slightly pricier superior rooms are basically identical
but have flatscreen TV and sit on higher floors with wide views.
Eating
A Posadas speciality is
galeto
(chargrilled chicken pieces stuffed with bacon, red peppers
and butter). It's delicious.
El Rayo
CAFETERIA $
(Bolívar 2089; light meals AR$30-50; 6am-4pm Mon-Fri, 5pm-1am Sat)
No frills and effect-
ive, this joint is thronged at lunchtime for its delicious empanadas,
lomitos
and good-
value pizza. Service comes with a smile, too. Thumbs up.
La Tradicional Rueda
PARRILLA $$$
( 442-5620; Arrechea & Av Costanera; mains AR$60-90; 11am-3.30pm & 7.30-midnight or
later; )
Stylish and traditional in feel, with uniformed waiters and sturdy wooden seats,
this two-level grill restaurant is in a prime riverside position: look for the wooden wheel
outside. There is excellent service; quality meats and a nice line in salads and river fish
put this a class above most
parrilla
places.
