There are several grades of room; the more expensive ones have better views and a mini-
bar, but aren't a great deal better than the regular ones.

El Reloj PIZZA $
(Pellegrini 580; pizza AR$40-60; 11am-3.30pm & 7pm-1am Mon-Sat; ) This spacious
brick-walled pizzeria has good ambience and a staggering selection of options. A haven
for the indecisive as staff don't grumble about doing half-and-halfs. It also does parrilla .
Look out for specials deals operating almost nightly.
Malaika ARGENTINE $$$
( 422-4867; 1 de Mayo 59; mains AR$60-100; 8am-2am; ) A relaxed and handsome
option on the plaza. This cafe-bar serves a variety of tasty meals, with salads, pizza,
pasta, snacks and more elaborate fare, including plenty of vegetarian options as well as
daily specials. Its decent wine list, caring service and the romantic mood seal the deal.

Getting There & Away
There are flights to Buenos Aires with LAER ( 0810-777-5237; www.laersa.com.ar ) . The
bus terminal ( 421-7235; cnr Justo & Hipólito Yrigoyen) is 13 blocks north of Plaza 25 de
Mayo. Four daily buses (none on Sunday) go to Salto, Uruguay (AR$40, 1¼ hours).
From the port beyond the east end of Carriego, launches cross the river to Salto
(AR$30, 15 minutes) four times between 8:30am and 6:30pm Monday to Saturday.
