Spruce and spotless, this professional and at-
tractive three-star job overlooks a small plaza. It's divided in two; the older standard
rooms are fine but smallish, and wi-fi doesn't reach all of them. The midpriced rooms are
identical, but with a better TV: not worth the upgrade. The superiors, however, are great,
with huge beds, modish couches and good bathrooms. The sauna, pool, Jacuzzi and gym
add to the value.

A good
deal on the plaza in the heart of modern Corrientes, the Plaza has spacious, faultless
modern rooms with LCD television, modern bathrooms and most with minibar. There's a
gym and an outdoor pool, staff are friendly and there's a good breakfast spread. All in all,
a very good deal.

By the casino on the riverfront, this stately old place has had a
complete refit. It's now an excellent hotel, with modern rooms that are huge, elegantly
and artistically furnished, but cozy and quiet. River views cost a little extra; it doesn't
cost much to upgrade to a sizable suite; other drawcards include the big pool with plenty
of chaise longues, and spa facilities.

Rustic and welcoming, this
Corrientes classic sits on a roundabout a short walk east of the town center. El Quincho is
more about Argentine grill staples such as chorizo and
morcilla
(blood sausage) than
fancy cuts of steak; there's always a deal on
parrilla
that comes out cheaper than the
price we've listed here - expect about AR$50 a person plus drinks. Quality is good;
quantity is enormous
