Sumptuously furnished with dark-wood antiques, this wonderfully renov-
ated house is an oasis of relaxation from the unappealing main road. Most of the rooms
that surround a small finger-shaped pool are suites boasting plush king-sized beds and
characterful bathrooms fitted with claw-foot tubs. The newer area has been characterfully
created from a former industrial space. Wonderfully handsome public areas and classy
service add up to a most impressive package.

This excellent option near the riverfront has commodious apartments and
suites unusually set in the tower in the courtyard of an appealing 19th-century, battleship-
gray historic building. Fine views are on offer from most rooms - a balcony room is
slightly more expensive - and there's an attractive bar-restaurant. Guests can use the pool
at the nearby rowing club.
