In-Depth Information
Last entry is strictly one hour before closing. If you want to visit in the morning, you
will have to get the 9am bus here from Santa Fe.
There's a mediocre restaurant at the site and a couple of decent parrillas in town.
Several spots both in Cayastá and along the RP1 offer cabin-type lodgings and boat trips
on the river.
Cayastá is 76km northeast of Santa Fe on RP1 and served regularly from Santa Fe's
bus terminal (AR$30, 1½ hours). Ask the driver to drop you at ' las ruinas,' 1km short of
Cayastá itself.

Paraná
0343 / POP 247,700
Unpretentious Paraná seems surprised at its own status as capital of Entre Ríos province.
Perched on the hilly banks of its eponymous river, it's a sleepy, slow-paced city. Paraná
was the capital of the Argentine Confederation (which didn't include Buenos Aires) from
1853 to 1861.
A tunnel beneath the main channel of the Paraná connects the city to Santa Fe.
