With a decayed but noble facade and other-era fittings, this hotel seems to have slipped
under the radar of the 21st century. The rooms are small and not luxurious - there are
various sizes and prices - but they're clean. It's a rather charming slice of old-time Ar-
gentina that won't be around in a few years' time. No cards.

Santa Fe's de-
caying waterfront has been smartened up, and this excellent hotel is the star. Brilliantly
converted from grain silos, it features original, rounded rooms with marvelous views and
plenty of modern comfort. The vistas from the rooftop pool, spa and sundeck are even
better, and service is excellent throughout. A handsome cafe and great play area for kids
are other highlights; there's also an attached casino.

Bright, un-
usual, and all curved surfaces and weird angles, this cheery place is a breath of fresh air.
There's a variety of room types available, none of which is a conventional shape; the
beds are seriously comfortable and the bathrooms pleasant. It's handy for the bus, too.
Eating
The best zones for cheap eats are across from the bus terminal, and the nightlife zone of
La Recoleta.

passageway leading to a gym, this offers tasty, well-prepared Middle Eastern-style
dishes as well as river fish, pasta and

options; it's a pleasingly unusual place to
eat. There's outdoor seating in the interior patio. Kitchen closes at 2pm lunchtimes.
