town. The tenedor libre (AR$100) sees an endless procession of succulent grilled meats

Gambrinus ARGENTINE $$$

town's most atmospheric dining option is this traditional, old-time restaurant that dates
from the 19th century. The menu features a mix of Argentine classics and German spe-
cialties such as wurst and sauerkraut. A vivacious local crowd and walls plastered with
vintage ads and knickknacks enhance the welcoming vibe.

Getting There & Away
AIR
Aerolíneas Argentinas ( 456-0561; www.aerolineas.com.ar ; San Martín 298) , LAN (
0810-999-9526; www.lan.com ; Chiclana 344) and Sol ( 0810-444-4765; www.sol.com.ar ) all
offer flights from Bahía Blanca's airport, 15km east of town (AR$110 by taxi; there are
no buses).
BUS
Bahía Blanca's bus terminal (Brown 1700) is about 2km southeast of Plaza Rivadavia.
Taxis to the city center cost AR$30 to AR$40; local buses 514 and 517 run to the bus sta-
tion from the stop in front of Banco de la Nación on Plaza Rivadavia; you'll have to buy
a magnetic card at a newsstand to use them (there's no kiosco at the terminal).
