Luján

Luján is a compact riverside town that several times per year overflows with pilgrims
making their way to Argentina's most important shrine. It boasts a huge Spanish-style
plaza with imposing neo-Gothic cathedral, as well as a couple of interesting museums.
The riverside area is lined with restaurants and barbecue stands selling choripan (a spicy
pork sausage in a crunchy roll). You can rent boats for a paddle, while a chairlift carries
sightseers over the grubby river - an oddly charming touch.
