the center; you can often find one by just walking a couple of blocks in any direction.

BA's most popular newspapers are the entertaining, tabloid-like Clarín and the more
moderate and upper-class La Nación . Página 12 provides a leftist perspective, while
Ámbito Financiero is the voice of the business sector. For news in English there's the
Buenos Aires Herald .

Banks and cambios (money-exchange offices) are common in the city center; banks have
longer lines and more limited opening hours but may offer better rates. You're on your
own if you use the ubiquitous shady figures (ie unofficial moneychangers) on Florida, of-
fering ' cambio, cambio, cambio' to passing pedestrians. Just remember there are quite a
