pit-stop on Av Corrientes is this cheap but classic pizza joint. Just point at a pre-baked
slice behind the glass counter and eat standing up with the rest of the crowd. Or sit down

Thanks to fair prices and relatively quick service, this colorful Peruvian eatery is jam-
packed at lunchtime with office workers devouring plates of ceviche (seafood cured in
citrus) and ajiaco de conejo (rabbit and potato stew). There are also plenty of arroz cha-
ufa (Peruvian-style fried rice) dishes, easily downed with a tangy pisco sour or a pitcher
of chicha morada (a sweet fruity drink).

excellent-quality meats and generous portions. The service is fast and efficient and it's
great value. Don't expect many tourists - this is a locals' sort of place. Also on offer are
homemade pastas, salads and milanesas (breaded steaks), along with several tasty
desserts and a good wine list.
